Received a package from HomeMed?

So you ordered your prescription medication from your normal pharmacy, but it has a strange new sticker – for 'HomeMed'. So who or what is HomeMed? Are they a new online pharmacy? Have they taken over your usual prescription products provider?

HomeMed is a licensed pharmacy specializing in drop shipping health care products. We have been shipping prescription and over-the counter products for more than ten years. However HomeMed is not a retail pharmacy. We do not sell goods directly to consumers. Instead, we provide a service for online retail partners and deliver goods from our licensed pharmacy directly to you on their behalf.

However, any prescription product we may ship to you on behalf of our retail partners will carry a HomeMed sticker or label on the container (in addition to any official product or dosage labeling).

This is the reason you will see a HomeMed label on your prescription medication even though you ordered your product from a completely separate retailer.

HomeMed is a fully-licensed pharmacy in its own right. It currently ships over-the-counter (OTC) medications to all 50 US states, and ships Rx (prescription) medications to 42 states (and working to achieve accreditation for the remaining states).

However because HomeMed only ships products customers have ordered from other pharmacies, you can't actually order your prescription refills from HomeMed. You must order your medications or request a prescription refill from the online pharmacy you originally ordered your initial medication through.

State and federal laws require that as HomeMed ships Rx medications, our licensed pharmacists must provide a medication counseling service for consumers receiving these medications. You can find out more information about your HomeMed-supplied prescriptions in several ways.

Firstly, our comprehensive online prescription product database contains a substantial amount of technical information for all of the prescription products HomeMed stocks or drop-ships. We advise that you try to find an answer to any of your questions via this online database before trying the toll-free number – you won't be put on hold, and the answers can be found at your fingertips 24-hours-a-day seven-days-a-week. Details and advice on every product HomeMed ships can be found in this section. This information can be accessed via the links found further down this page.

However, if you can't find the answer to your query after trying our user-friendly online prescription product database, you can contact HomeMed's pharmacists directly on 866-466-3633 (toll-free). Our staff will be available to answer any queries regarding the prescription medications we ship – for example regarding side effects or interactions with other medications. But before calling, try our online prescription product database – there's a good chance the answer is only a click away.

Note: HomeMed cannot advise you on which medication you should choose for yourself, your family or pets. Federal law requires that you consult your family doctor or veterinarian for this information.
